Storms hit this area more often than most people think. In the last 12 months, the National Weather Service logged:
Damaging wind, hail and tornado reports in Montgomery, Frederick, Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Howard and Carroll (MD), Fairfax and Loudoun (VA), and Adams, York and Franklin (PA) counties, Oct 2025 to Sep 2026. Source: National Weather Service Local Storm Reports.
You don't need a ladder, and please don't get on the roof. Wind damage is the most common kind here, and it's the easiest to miss. If you spot any of these, book an inspection.
Even one shingle or piece of ridge cap on the ground means wind got under the roof. The ones still up may be loosened too.
From the street, look for tabs that sit up, look bent, or don't line up with the rest. Wind breaks the seal that holds them down.
Panels that rattle, bow out, or are gone, usually on the side of the house that faced the storm.
Round dings along the gutter face, or dents on the AC unit, mean hail hit hard enough to matter.
Sand-like grit piling up where water drains means shingles are losing their protective coating.
Most homeowners only go through this once. Here's the order things happen in.
Our crew inspects your roof, siding and gutters for wind and hail damage and sends you photos of what we find. If it's fine, we say so.
You contact your insurer, and we give you the photo report and estimate. They schedule an adjuster.
We're on site to show the adjuster the damage we documented, so nothing is missed.
Our own crew does the work and cleans up completely, including a magnetic sweep for nails.

No. In Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania only a licensed public adjuster can negotiate a claim on your behalf. We document the damage, provide an estimate, and meet your adjuster on site so the damage is seen and measured correctly.
It depends on your insurer and your policy. That's why we inspect and show you the photos first, so you can decide whether filing makes sense before you ever call your insurance company.
It depends on your policy. Many set a deadline, so it's best to get the damage looked at soon after the storm while it's fresh and easy to date.
We'll tell you, and you keep the photos. If your roof or siding is simply getting old, we can give you a straight written quote if you want one.
